“General Patton’s Desert Training Center” is presented by Sid Burks, who teaches at CSUSB and lectures on military history, aviation, and desert history.

This is the story of General George S. Patton, from his privileged childhood in the San Gabriel area of California to his mysterious death in Europe after the end of World War II.  Also discussed is the Desert Training Center he pioneered in the harsh deserts of California, Arizona and Nevada.
