YUCCA VALLEY — Twelve people were arrested, mostly on drug charges, Tuesday when sheriff’s deputies and parole officers made a parole-compliance sweep around Yucca Valley.
During the nine-hour operation officers checked with about 25 parolees to ensure they were complying with the terms of their release.
After officers searched his home, Steven Mann, 26, was arrested on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine. Also arrested after the search were Megan Campbell, 24, and Pauline Caudill, 18, both on suspicion of being under the influence of controlled substances.
Mann was booked into the Morongo Basin Jail with bail set at $10,000. Campbell and Caudill were cited and released.
Tara Brown, 26, of Yucca Valley, was arrested on charges of being under the influence of drugs and violation of probation. She was booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, where she is being held without bail, according to Det. James Porter.
David Myers, 24, of Joshua Tree, was arrested on a misdemeanor narcotics warrant. He was booked into the Morongo Basin Jail with bail set at $10,000.
Robert Granger, 46, Christopher Irons, 37, Kenneth Rhine, 44, Leonard Bracamonte, 44, and Andrew Anderson, 23, all residents of Yucca Valley, were arrested for violation of parole. Each was booked into the Morongo Basin Jail and is being held without bail.
Two more subjects were arrested, cited and released for possessing less than one ounce of marijuana, added Porter.
