YUCCA VALLEY--- This year's Grubstake Days festivities kick off at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 25, with a parade at Remembrance Park at Yucca Trail and Twentynine Palms Highway. Parade entries go east on the highway, turn north onto Grand Avenue, then west onto Little League Drive, ending at the Boys & Girls Club and Brehm Sports Park.
- Following the parade will be a Home & Crafts show from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 56525 Little League Drive.
- Grubstake Days Community Fair starts at 11 a.m. at the Tri-Valley Little League and Brehm Sports parks. The fair goes until 5 p.m. and features vendors, exhibits, face painting, a dunk tank, a beard contest, relay races, contests and tournaments, live music, sports events and a Strut Your Mutt pet parade.
Saturday also marks the grand opening of the Miracle League Field at the new Brehm Family Recreation Center. A grand opening ceremony will take place at noon.
Grand Marshals for this year's event are Bill and Mona Brehm, benefactors to both Brehm Sports parks. "Miracles Do Happen," is the theme for the parade and community events.
