Evelyn Argetsinger was born Evelyn Robbins on June 6, 1922, in San Francisco. On vacation with a friend to Altadena, she met Martin Argetsinger and they married on Nov. 22, 1943. They were happily married for 59 years and raised four children together. In 1973, they moved to Big Bear City, where they lived for 30 years. When Martin passed away on May 10, 2003, Evelyn moved to Yucca Valley. She was a member of the Red Hats and was part of the “Lunch Bunch,” a group of friends who met weekly for lunch at various restaurants throughout Yucca Valley.
Evelyn loved to play the organ, listen to music and spend time with family and friends.
In January 2016, Evelyn moved to Desert Rose Elder Care in Twentynine Palms, where she lived until her passing on March 6, 2019. Thank you to all the wonderful ladies at Desert Rose for caring for our mother in her final years.
Evelyn was preceded in passing by husband Martin Argetsinger and son John Argetsinger.
She is survived by son and daughter-in-law Wayne and Rowena Argetsinger, of Ohio; son and daughter-in-law Paul and Cheryl Argetsinger, of Yucca Valley; daughter and son-in-law Robin and Michael Crough, of Long Beach; and five grandchildren: John and David Argetsinger, of Ohio, and Elizabeth, Shawn and Elyssa Crough, of Long Beach.

Rest in loving peace, Evelyn, Mom and Grandma.
