Billie Madeline Taylor, a 62-year resident of California, previous resident of Joshua Tree and five-year resident of Victorville, died May 16, 2019, in Apple Valley at the age of 97.
The daughter of Mary Alice House and Tom Lansing House, she was born Nov. 18, 1921, in Bennington, Oklahoma.
She was a licensed practical nurse for 15 years, and did electronic assembly for 20 years.
Billie loved God, her family and her country.
She was preceded in death by her parents, nine siblings and two grandsons, Scott Inman and Larry Lunk.
She is survived by daughters Mary Jo Thornton, of Joshua Tree, and Gayle Thornton-Lunk, of Victorville; grandchildren Joe Inman, of Joshua Tree, Rod Inman, of Lake Wales, Florida, Michael Lunk, of McKinney, Texas, Mary Lunk-Harris, of Victorville, Brandon Lunk, of Show Low, Arizona, and Justin Lunk, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; and niece Alicetom McLaran, of Joshua Tree.
She is also survived by 29 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. June 1 at Grace Church in the Paradise area of Yucca Valley. The Rev. Roger Mayes will officiate.
