Lucille Luque, a lifelong resident of California and 40-year resident of Yucca Valley, died March 14, 2019, in her home. She was 93 years old.
The daughter of John and Antonia Tamez, she was born Feb. 8, 1926, in Los Angeles.
Mrs. Luque was a licensed vocational nurse for more than 40 years before she retired.
She was a member of Joshua Springs Calvary Chapel Women’s Bible Study and Prayer Chain.
She was a prayer warrior who loved Jesus and loved her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Luque, son Joseph Reyes and daughter Vivian Pizzuto.
Mrs. Luque is survived by son Michael Luque, of Alta Loma; son-in-law Allen Pizzuto, of Yucca Valley; stepdaughter Angelina Luque; granddaughter Cindy Ontiveros, of Yucca Valley; grandson Gilbert Perez, of Glendora; granddaughter Lauren Pizzuto, of Joshua Tree; grandson Joey Reyes; grandson Stevie Reyes; grandson Mikey Reyes; grandchildren Kristen and Ryan Luque; and granddaughter Annette Luque-Barone.
She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild as well as by her nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. March 30 at Joshua Springs Calvary Chapel. Pastor Jerel Hagerman will be the officiant.
