David ‘Dave’ Dale Luse

Sept. 11, 1937-April 11, 2019

David “Dave” Dale Luse, a 15-year resident of Yucca Valley, died on April 11, 2019. He lived in Orange and Vista before moving to Yucca Valley in 2003.

Dave was born on Sept. 11, 1937, in Willoughby, Ohio, and was preceded in death by his parents, Hiram and June (White) Luse.

Dave proudly served as a U.S. Navy Seabee in Japan from 1956 to 1958. He retired in 2003 from mobile tool sales.

Dave is survived by his spouse of 58 years, Dawn (Harris) Luse, his brother, Ron Luse, his sister, Diane Dobyns, his two daughters, Sheli (Mike) Easton and Karyn (Mark) Peak, along with three grandchildren, David Kline, Jennifer Edwards (Patrick) and Dylan Morgan. Dave is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Dave was known for his sense of humor and kindness to everyone. He also loved spending time with his family, friends and special dog, Buddy.

Dave’s hobbies included wood carving, photography, old cars and trucks, along with traveling in his motor home. He was an active member of the Morongo Basin Wood Carvers Group, along with other social groups in town.
