Robert Huell (Bob) Tucker, a 50-year resident of California and Joshua Tree, died March 10, 2019, at home, of natural causes. He was 79 years old.
Born Feb. 12, 1940, he was a native of Helena, Arkansas.
Mr. Tucker served in the Marine Corps in Twentynine Palms.
He worked as a nurseryman and lumberman at Barr Lumber before he retired.
He was a deacon at First Southern Baptist Little Church on the Hill in Joshua Tree.
Mr. Tucker enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a poker player and loved being with his family and friends to tell jokes.
He was preceded in death by wife Sharon Tucker.
He is survived by daughter Shawna Markley, sons Robert, Ron and Randy Tucker, daughter-in-law Amy Tucker and son-in-law Dan Markley.
Mr. Tucker is also survived by 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A viewing will be held between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday, March 23, at Wiefels and Son Mortuary in Yucca Valley.
The cremation will follow the viewing.
Bob was a loving husband and father to his family. He was respected by all who knew him in his community and church. Family and friends will dearly miss you, Bob.
