Denise Harbeson-Rivera, a lifelong resident of California and 52-year resident of Yucca Valley, died April 24, 2019, at Eisenhower Medical Center. She was 55 years old.
The daughter of Leslie Eugene Harbeson and Dolores Marie Harbeson, she was born June 25, 1963, in Montebello.
She was a marketing executive for Marriott Vacations International for 11 years.
Denise loved to travel! She loved to cruise with her mother, Dolores, and her sister, Michelle. Mexico was one of her favorite destinations. She enjoyed time at the casino with her husband, Mike, and often won big! She truly enjoyed spending quality time with her daughter, Megan, and her granddaughter, Kendall.
She was preceded in death by her father, Leslie Eugene Harbeson.
She is survived by her mother, Dolores Harbeson; her sister, Michelle Smith; her husband, Mike Cottier; her daughter, Megan Rivera; two sons, Nicholas and Travis Rivera; half-brother Loren Biggs; and two grandaughters, Avery Rivera and Kendall Alderson.
The service for Denise Rivera will be at 2 p.m. May 18 at Joshua Springs Calvary Chapel in the Sanctuary. There will be a celebration of life following the service at 4 p.m. at Hawk’s Landing Golf Course in Yucca Valley.
Denise, we will miss you terribly! You were truly an inspiration to all you leave behind! Your strength was insurmountable, which gives us the strength to endure this loss. We cherish the memories now, knowing you are at peace with the Lord.
