Thank you, Theatre 29 for the opportunity to host the opening night of “The Murder Room” and for friends of Kiwanis in our community for supporting it.

It was a wonderful evening with awards, excellent food and a great show!

Kiwanis Club of Twentynine Palms presented a Walter Zeller Award representing over 690 mothers and babies saved to Theatre 29 President Gary Daigneault in appreciation to the theater and community supporting our opening nights for a half a dozen years, helping our club reach a Model Club Pledge of $21,750.

Kiwanis and UNICEF are saving more than 55 million mothers and their babies. Kiwanis’ goal of $110 million has been pledged with over $85 million paid. Three 60-cent tetanus shots will protect a mother and her newborn through most of her childbearing years.

We have eliminated maternal and neonatal tetanus in 26 of 39 countries since partnering with UNICEF in 2010. Visit TheEliminateProject.org for more information.

Additionally, we presented a grant to Theatre 29 for $500 in support of the 2019 Summer Youth Theatre.
