I want to take the opportunity to thank Reach Out Morongo Basin and especially Robin Schlosser, the executive director of this wonderful nonprofit organization.

Late Tuesday night, June 11, the water pump went out in our cooler. By Wednesday morning it was very hot in the house. After calling several places to see if someone could look at the cooler and finding no one was available for several days, I decided to call Reach Out Morongo Basin and ask if they had a volunteer who could come and see what needed to be fixed. I got an enthusiastic “yes” from Robin, telling me that she could come to my house at my convenience. Needless to say, she was up on the hot roof in the afternoon putting a new water pump on the cooler.

This organization is amazing and the people on staff are absolutely the best and each one has a love and passion for helping the elderly and disabled in our community.

If you don’t know anything about this neighbor-helping-neighbor program, give them a call and check it out for yourself. You won’t be sorry!
