Yucca Valley High girls soccer lose to Knights, dominate Wildcats

INDIO — The Yucca Valley High School girls soccer team lost to the Lady Knights from Shadow Hills High School Thursday, Jan. 17.

The game went back and forth, but the Lady Trojans found themselves on the losing end with a final score of 3-1, coach Scott Phillips said via email.

Junior Vivian Chow scored the goal for the Lady Trojans, with senior Chaylin Couzens adding the assist. Phillips named Chow player of the game.

The Yucca Valley girls completely dominated Twentynine Palms Tuesday, Jan. 15, outshooting the Lady Wildcats 30-2 to finish with a

4-1 victory.

Couzens continued her outstanding play, scoring a hat trick and adding an assist, Phillips said. Junior Teresa Nava added a goal and assist, and Chow and fellow junior Amy Priest had assists.

The Lady Trojans are now 2-2 on the league.
