Mason Palanuik tees off on the first hole for the Trojans Tuesday, March 26. Palanuik's 48 was a personal best for the season.

YUCCA VALLEY — The Yucca Valley High School golf team defeated its cross-town rivals from Twentynine Palms at a home game Tuesday afternoon, March 26.

The Trojans won 212-243.

Low scores for the day were carded by Gauge Kime with a 39, Luke Yakimow shooting a 40, Larry Tyerman shooting a 42 and Josh Pierce with a 43.

Also posting a personal season low of 48 was Mason Palanuik.

This win continues the Trojans’ undefeated league record. The team is now 12-1 overall and 5-0 in Desert Valley League play.

The Trojans play today at Coachella Valley High School. They will return home Friday to take on Palm Springs High School at their home course, Hawk’s Landing.
