TWENTYNINE PALMS — Twenty dollar farmers market check books will be available to low income seniors, 60 and older, from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 8, at the Twentynine Palms Farmers Market, Twentynine Palms Highway and Desert Queen Avenue.

Checks can be used to purchase fruits, vegetables, herbs and honey at participating California certified farmers markets in San Bernardino County.

The checkbooks, provided by the county’s Aging and Adult Services department, are available to county senior residents who meet income eligibility, calling for income of no more than $1,872 a month in a one- person household, $2,538 a month in a two-person household and no more than $645 a month more for each additional household member.
