TWENTYNINE PALMS — Food for Life volunteers served hundreds of meals from facilities at the Twentynine Palms Church of the Nazarene, 72603 Juanita Drive Saturday, June 1.

Working with local church, nonprofit and civic groups, the ministry prepares and serves meals to community members in need from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturdays.

On June 1, volunteers served chicken, potato salad and macaroni and cheese.

On June 8, Mary Reese and her friends will prepare and serve tamale pie. Debbie Tirozzi and her friends will prepare and serve Talaron, a noodle dish, June 15.

Volunteers from Palms Baptist Church will prepare and serve beef stroganoff June 22.
