TWENTYNINE PALMS — A group of pilots planned to fly in donations for Toys For Tots this weekend, but because of the rain, they'll be flying in next week instead.

Pilots from the Redlands Airport Association will fly into the Twentynine Palms Airport around 10:45 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, rather than Dec. 1, as was previously scheduled.

When the pilots arrive, they will meet U.S. Marine Reservists and hand over toys for people in need.

This is the fourth year the Redlands pilots have held a toy and money fundraiser for Toys For Tots. Last year they flew in 2,500 toys.

The public is invited to greet Santa and the pilots as they fly into the airport, which is on Twentynine Palms Highway east of downtown Twentynine Palms.

The Marines will arrive at 10:30 a.m. Dec. 8. The Planes will start arriving between 10:45 and 11:15.
