Irene Estelle Hart, a 73-year resident of California and a 43-year resident of Joshua Tree, died peacefully at home from heart failure on Jan. 22, 2018. She was 92 years old.

The daughter of William and Celia Ketchum, she was born in 1925 in New York.

She was a mom, a grandma and a great-grandma.

Irene loved her rose garden and enjoyed being close to nature and especially God’s word.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Hart, six brothers and sisters and her brother-in-law Jonathan Hart.

She is survived by her daughters, Linda Adamson and Bonnie Cosner, her son, Gary Hart, her 10 grandchildren and her many, many great-grandchildren. 

Irene is also survived by her brother, Harold Handyside, of New York, and by many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 10, at Wiefels & Son’s Yucca Valley Chapel, 57285 Yucca Trail, Yucca Valley, CA 92284.
