Team Rebellion poses with their first place trophies for softball machine pitch at the Little League Closing Day Ceremony.

TWENTYNINE PALMS — Players, coaches and volunteers celebrated the end of another successful season for Twentynine Palms Little League at closing ceremonies Saturday, June 8, at Luckie Park.

Awards were handed out, including first place awards for teams that topped their divisions.

Preparations have already begun for the post-season as coaches and volunteers worked to put together rosters for all-star tournaments that will take Twentynine Palms players across the southland.

At closing day ceremonies, players and parent expressed satisfaction with the season just ended.

Lori McClay has two sons playing in little league. Ian plays for the Angels AAA kid pitch team and made it to All Stars this year. Hayden’s machine pitch Cardinals team came in first place.

“I like how it’s fun and it doesn’t matter about winning and losing,” softball player Haylee Smith said.

“I’ve been playing baseball for four years. I liked that I was actually hitting the ball and not striking out as much as last year,” Aries Krogh said.
