They will play their first game at 8 p.m. Sunday, July 7, at Veterans Freedom Park, 22795 Barton Road, in Grand Terrace.

The Twentynine Palms Little League major softball all-star team completed its conquest of the District 58 championship with a 14-4 win over Tri Valley Little League Wednesday, June 26, at Luckie Park.

“Very proud of the girls,” coach Rose Silvas said in the wake of the win.

“We move on to the sectional tournament this weekend being held in Banning,” she said. “The girls have worked hard so they’ll be ready for the tough competition ahead.”

She said she expects a new level of competition in this latest tournament.

“Expecting tough competition as the caliber of talent will be at the next level. This will be a fun and memorable experience for our girls,” she said.
